My overall professional work experience is 3 years which has jointly been attained at a primary school in South Africa and a high school in Japan. I also have 2 years of experience as an English tutor at the University of Zululand. Part time I teach adults who are working professionals Business English.
My teaching philosophy is based on creating a rapport with students and an environment where they can express themselves openly making it easier for teaching and learning to be conducted.
I am committed to providing students with excellent academic tools to improve academic performance and instil the love of learning and teamwork. I aim to help learners reach an effective standard of communication outside of the classroom. Accuracy and grammar are very important but not more than the ability to communicate meaningfully in real life, that is why I aim to create a space for students to fully express themselves in the most meaningful way and this help with boasting their confidence.
I have in-depth problem solving and creative skills with an understanding and knowledge of different learning preferences for different students. I can do lesson planning, assessment evaluations and feedback, cross-cultural communication, and extra-curricular activities such as English club and spelling bee.
